You have the right to request your health care records directly from your counselor.
Health Records Requests
You may request a copy of your healthcare records by submitting a written request to your counselor via email. In accordance with the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act, if the records are maintained electronically, we will provide access no later than the 15th business day after the date we receive your written request.
Complaints
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by its licensees. If you wish to file a complaint, you may do so through the following channels:
